Fostify Solution Limited (NZBN 9429053347985) (Fostify, we, us or our) complies with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 (the Act) when dealing with personal information. Personal information is information about an identifiable individual (a natural person).
This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information when you use our website at https://www.fostify.co.nz (the Website), join our waitlist, or take part in our research.
Scope: This policy covers our public Website, waitlist and research activities only. It does not cover the Fostify platform itself, which is not yet publicly available and will have its own privacy terms when it launches.

The personal information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
your name;
your email address;
your phone number (only if you choose to provide it);
the responses, comments and feedback you give us in surveys, forms or emails; and
technical information about your visit (such as your device, browser and general location), collected automatically when you use the Website.
We do not ask you for sensitive information, and we ask that you don't send it to us through the Website.
Who we collect it from
We collect personal information directly from you — when you join our waitlist, complete a survey or form, or contact us. We may also collect information from third parties where you have authorised this, or where the information is publicly available (for example, a public professional profile).
Where we can, we will collect personal information from you directly.
How we use your personal information
We use your personal information to:
add you to our waitlist and keep you updated about Fostify;
contact you about taking part in research, interviews or a pilot;
understand the needs of the animal-rescue sector (we analyse survey responses on an aggregated, anonymised basis);
respond to your enquiries and feedback;
improve the Website and our plans for the platform; and
meet our legal obligations, or as otherwise authorised by you or the Act.
We will not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We use trusted third-party service providers to run the Website and our research, and we share personal information with them only so they can provide those services to us. These currently include providers that:
host the Website;
manage our waitlist; and
run our surveys and forms.
Some of these providers are based outside New Zealand, which means your personal information may be stored and processed overseas on our behalf. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected to a standard comparable to the Act.
We may also disclose personal information:
to any person authorised by you;
where required or authorised by law (for example, to a regulator or law-enforcement agency); and
in connection with a sale, merger or reorganisation of our business.
How we protect it
We take reasonable steps to keep your personal information safe from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No system is completely secure, so if you provide information to us over the internet, you do so at your own risk.
Accessing and correcting your information
